005 – John Maxwell on Winning and Learning…


The guru John Maxwell writes some amazing books.  One quote of his that I have fully embraced is “Sometimes You Win and Sometimes You Learn.”  This weekend I spent watching my daughter compete in the state championship soccer tournament.  They didn’t win all the games but they did place 3rd.  They will get better by playing against. A team that played better then them but it only made them better.  Life is like this.  Listen for more on this podcast.

In this podcast we talk about a ritual a mentor of mine Peter Hurley does every day on his instagram.  Every day he wakes up and records his wake up and goals.

We should be striving to accomplish goals in our lives.  Some of our biggest goals in life take daily goals that are smaller in nature but when done consistently help us to accomplish what we want to do.  Lose weight, get out of debt, learn a new skill, adopt a new hobby.  All of these take time.  Get up and prime your mind.  Tony Robbins calls this priming.  Wake up and set some goals.
